Frequently asked questions
How early can my child start music lesson?
Music Lessons can be started at a very young age. Usually 4 or 5 years old is a great time to start children on Piano lessons. Even if they desire to play other instruments it's recommended to start 6 months to a year of piano lessons before starting other instruments.
Do I need an instrument (piano, guitar, etc.) to take lessons
Yes. Although you may see a lot of different opinions and advertisments that you or you're student will not need to purchase an instrument, we strongly disagree with this. Personal practice time is essential to becoming a good musician and only so much can be accomplished during lesson time. If you need help picking out an instrument we would be gald to help you.
How do "in home" lessons work
In home lessons are where we come to your home on a weekly basis. They are safe and very convenient. There's no need to fight the traffic and rush around town!
How do "online lessons" work
Online lessons are becoming very popular and can be taken from just about anywhere with a high-speed interent access and webcam, phone, or ipad. At the time given for lessons we meet up via Skype, Facetime, or many other applications for video conferencing.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Lessons go on a month-to-month basis (4 or 8 lessons pre-paid).
Are there books or materials to buy?
We provide most if not all of the material that'll you'll need for lessons. Ocassionally, for more advanced lessons you may be suggested to buy certain materials.
Do you teach Children with Special Needs?
Absolutely!!! I'll work with the Parent or Guardian to get the best fit and music experience for the individual need.
